Snake in Canyon

I had a dream a while back where I was running in a dessert. It felt like I was running away from somebody. Eventually, I got into a canyon and started flying. Then, I felt like there was something preventing me from ascending. I looked down, and there was a red snake wrapped around my ankle. I kept trying to fly higher, but it kept me in the same altitude, although we were still moving forward.
