I was at a conference/presentation all ted talk style but for college students maybe. It was impromptu, you were invited, you never planned or prepared. I think. Anyway I get there, stand in line for the thing, and meet a judge. We're not supposed to meet the judges unless you've reached national level. She did go cold when she realized I was just a beginner, the first level which began with an A. However I did continue the conversation out of politeness, and a bit of hurt she thought ill of me, and honest nerves. She ended up smiling despite the rules and we had a nice conversation. I mentioned I hadn't done public speaking since I was in forensics in high school. She thought it meant I had a leg up The whole conference was like a lecture you gave, you got time to write a short essay, then you got up to present it. The first level was easy. We had to pick a topic, any topic, about a common thing we could improve society with. Example, someone wanted to add a tiny library to the college restrooms where she attended. She also offered to be the attendant there, bringing beverages, books and a hot towel. Everyone laughed. Those who had been going to these for a while had ritual phrases they took very seriously. It was hard core for them. Finally, after we were given an explanation and our topic, we were left to write. I had my cell phone. People could research at will, and they did. Often beginning with facts was the opener. I decided to broach the topic of our justice system. How innocents were put in prison based on judge and jury personal prejudices, like personal opinions, not just necessarily racism but stereotyping and such, which colored how each judgment was handed down. I wanted to highlight how bad the system actually was, for criminals who were innocent. Those who hadn't deserved to go to jail. I wanted to propose a new system, that could be completely impartial. So I went to write, trying to think of a better topic just in case this one was a little too precious and trite. But apparently George Weasley - from HRB- had pranked my cell phone. It turned into a parchment paper that looked and worked like a tablet. I was irritated. This was practically a test and now i couldn't use my phone. I picked up the parchment. It was like canvas, so thick, a velour. It did work, I'd have to use it like a tablet, but it resembled an iPad. I hated iPads. - These dream smippets happened simultaneously with the above dream. Bits and pieces were interspersed. Like watched two TVs at the same time, or living two lives simultaneously. I know there was a giant that had a girl changed to a wall in a cave. Like some Flintstones meet classy art style and maybe porn. Very 50s but glamorous 50s. And some females went swimming in a lake that had dead bodies in it. 21 young girls went into the water before they realized. They came out and changed, turning to demons, growing horns, red skin, white eyes, melting zombified flesh, and madness. Also violence. There was a toilet that folded away. I drank lots of tang. Someone was there, dedicated and always going to be there for me, loyal. A dog? A person who was like a vassel? But at the last minute, someone from his past loyalty was found to be alive again. He'd have to go to them. It was sad. A big giant ship sucked up a girl and her father. They were after her father. I was just glad they'd get to be together. The ship was a black monstrosity of a space ship/island city. It drifted over the land at snails pace and shining city spires all black like beetle parts were an awesome horizon to be hold.
