Lego map

I got on a school bus and sat near the front. I was told to get off at the second school. I thought my project was to make new gardens on a sidewalk median. Inside, I met with an academic with a project for me. An eccentric man was creating a Lego map of the entire world, at great accuracy. Every town or city in the world would get its own sub-map. I was being asked to do an insert for London Ontario. I thought it would be digital, but it was real Lego. I was given detailed instructions on what to include and how to paint it. The instructions came in many pamphlets, and it was very confusing. There were strict requirements and the promise of a “prize” if mine was the best. I couldn’t find any web presence for the man, and he came across as a kook. I didn’t think there was any possibility of this working out, so I declined. The academic who told me about the project thought this was the right choice. The eccentric map maker was bewhildered that anyone would refuse.
