Forgetting Trayton and the studio home

Ugh, this was a nasty not nice dream. Spare me the details. No? Fine. Grr. So we had Trayton and I had walked him to the preschool and that day passed and he didn’t come home and we were worried but hadn’t called the cops or anything. A cop shows up with him. He was wearing yellow overalls. He is four. I was so scared for him. I felt so bad. I held him. All I could think was that he didn’t have any milk or juice. I forgot to pick him up a couple more days in a row. It was like I forgot that I had him to pick up. (In my defense he doesn’t stay with us, he is my grandson) I saw him find his way home the second day and he looked emaciated. I was so sick. I couldn’t believe it. I felt soooooooooooooooooooooo bad. One morning he ran away and I walked up to talk to the preschool but they weren’t concerned. They said a lot of their kids did that. They had one after school staff with crackers and juice for that purpose but the one night he looked bad was because they couldn’t afford to pay their staff that day. I said ok and promised not to forget him again. Whew! That part is over. Oh? We aren’t done? Ugh. You are correct. Nasty! So after that E and I are driving around and we see an open house . I say let’s go look at that. We pull up and get out and I see that it’s for a studio home which is like a one bedroom home with other rooms in it but still very small. I say well we’re not gonna get this one but we can still go look for fun. Eric agrees. We go into look at everything is lavish it’s like they’ve sold a bunch of lavish furniture in this home and even the refrigerator has like the chandelier cakes that have been stored for some party. But it’s like over the top with too much , it’s not staged like a home its staged like upscale furniture house. At one point the people showing us around, they show us in this room that there is what they call a paper shredding room. I look inside and it looks like a prayer closet and I thought to myself oh they must not be able to say prayer closet but that’s clearly what that is. Next to that room there was a long skinny hallway and all the rooms and walls in this house are painted brick, thick white paint like you find in institutions. The hallway was not really a hallway it was just this long skinny looking closet that I thought well you could really shred paper in this room because it would’ve been useful for nothing else it was too skinny to be a closet. So I left the one bedroom and was walking into the kitchen when I saw that there was a hole in the floor but it wasn’t like on accident, it was on purpose it had been built-in so you could see down into the basement below and in the basement below was the laundry facility plus the gardening supply facility. The studio home was a part of a much larger plot development where all the studio homes have been made. I saw that the basement seem to go on forever with more washers and dryer’s and more gardening supplies and that every house had the same access to the basement and this house had a hole in the floor where anybody could climb up in to the house. I thought to myself no way are we ever going to buy one of these houses. I was totally done looking. I went to find Erik because things seem odd to me and I said babe I’m ready to go he had been talking to the man who was trying to get him to buy it. I went outside while waiting for him to finish talking and I walked around the complex a bit. I walked behind this one house and saw the face of a door jam that was laying down and I said looks like this came loose from your door he said yeah I’ve been trying to get this nailed up they’re really into how things look around here. I said oh he said do you live here and I said no we just are looking at that open house. The man said don’t move into this place it’s a trap you won’t get the house that you’re looking at instead you get one with out all the amenities that that house has and they’ll say it cost more than what the original deal was and so they put you in the house with the equal value of the deal that they gave you and there will never be a house with the deal that you wanted. It’s a trap. I said thank you and left. I went back to Eric and I said it’s time to go so we said goodbye and left. As we were driving away we had barely gotten half a block down the street as I had been telling him what the man said and what I found when he said I’m going to get a key from that man. I said why are you going to get a key we don’t want to buy that house. He said I am going to get a key. He got out and walked in and started talking to the man about buying the house and that he was interested when I turned around and said good luck getting it with your f-ing credit! I’m not helping you! Wooooow! I hate this dream. Why did you make me tell you? Ugh. Ugh to the nth degree. There you go! Eodair.
