Keeping The Puppy Away From A Mute Autistic Child

I was talking outside with my Mum about the time I nearly took up horse riding lessons at university. She said something about there being a riding school nearby and asked if I'd go if I had the chance. I said maybe, and she was surprised, because she said she couldn't see me on a horse. I asked why, and she said she'd imagine me being extremely nervous. I replied saying that that would surely be natural anyway, because a horse is a big animal. We returned inside, where this young Mum was waiting with her autistic child. She was a mute autistic, around six or seven years old, and believed that as I was autistic myself, if she got to know me it might help her. She communicated in hugs and told me through hugging that her favourite Doctor Who story was The Tenth Planet, when I showed her a picture from The Tenth Planet. Our puppy was under the table and kept trying to bite at the autistic child. We desperately tried to keep her away.
