Construction in the bowling alley

I was in a bowling alley with a lot going on other than bowling. It seemed like there was construction and it was a test on my patience. I was using a yellow bowling ball, and had to step around the constitution to throw my ball down the lane, which was compromised because the length became shorter. Sometimes the ball return would make the ball hit against something and go back down the alley on its own. It was slow and knocked down few, if any pins at all. Eventually, all the lanes had curtains drawn over the pins, as if to tell the bowlers they couldn't play any longer.
