I had a dream that I an at my house at one of the houses I grew up in, in which, was the town I grew up in. My former best friend when I was in High School's cousin comes over to my house. We're sitting in the kitchen and she looks sad and tells us that she has something she needs to confess to us. She tells us that there is something she needs to get off her chest and that she's not supposed to tell anybody. She tells me and my brother that my best friend's mom had murdered her husband. This is shocking to me and hard to believe because in real life she is a Christian woman who I have a lot of respect for. I used to joke and say that she's my second mom. In real life she had a husband who was my best friend's dad who was a pastor that passed away from throat cancer in 2005. She even tried to keep the church running when her husband passed away; she even started preaching. It didn't last long because she had people against her; some were family members from her late husband. The church eventually had shut down. I moved away to the other side of the state in 2008 about 4 hrs away; and I haven't seen my friend and his family in person in 15 yrs. In this dream she remarried a man from Brazil; and, according to the cousin he was physically abusive to my former best friend's mom. I then remembered seeing it on the local news about his death; and, to me it seems like the media don't have a clue that he was murdered. The cousin continues to tell us the rest of the story by telling us that my former best friend's mom poisoned his drink; and, her plans were to take her family with her to escape to Brazil before the police put two and two together and find out that she murdered him. She also tells us that my former best friend's mom is convinced that she did the right thing to protect her family and believes if she wouldn't have killed him; that, he would eventually kill her and/or one or more of her children. The cousin tells us that there is more to the story but she already revealed too much; and that she chooses not to go further in telling us the rest of the story. Most of the time when she talks she focuses her attention on my brother; this offended me because in real life her cousin was my best friend; he and my brother were kind of friends; but, their friendship wasn't as close as ours. My former best friend used to live next door to me and my family; so in the dream it was the same. In the dream I am walking next door to try to talk to his mom because I want answers. I'm really curious about the rest of the story because I am hoping I can get a better explanation of her murdering him because with the information I got so far combined with the fact that she's a black woman; I am really having doubts that that's enough to keep her from going to prison. It seems to me that it's not looking good for her. I followed the cousin to my former best friend's house and she let me in; however, my former best friend's mom isn't here; but, he arrives instead. He has this " why are you here" look on his face when he sees me; As he puts groceries down on the counter he looks at his cousin who doesn't have a poker face as she sits on the edge of the bed with her head down. I can tell that he suspects that she revealed the secret to me so my plan is to play it off like she only told me that they were moving. I said I heard y'all was moving; he responded that it's not true and that his cousin most likely misunderstandood. I took a deep sigh and responded as I got up from sitting down with " aaawww man, wheeew! I really thought y'all were moving; I was kind of worried. Well that's all I wanted to know". As I head back home I have doubts that I fooled him. Then I woke up.
