Duckling-Puppies at School

I was at (what seemed to be) a Young Adults hangout. I was in a room with a bunch of people, and Dylan was also in the room. I really did not want to be there (I think we had just broken up). Somehow, I knew that him and the people he was with were talking about me and making fun of me, so I went outside and started bawling. I was in a class with Renee, Nicole and Mellina. When class ended, they rang a bell that indicated that the next classes were about to start (even though this was college and we don’t have bells). The whole class was really confused because we never heard the first bell go off. I turned to renee and said “That’s so annoying because at least 15 of us are going to show up to the main office for a tardy slip and they’re still not going to see that maybe this was not our faults.” We all began to crowd and push until we could get out of the classroom. Once we got out, it was raining. Renee told Mellina “you should probably drive around to the other side of the school to get to your next class. You better book it.” I realized that my next class was a duel enroll class (again, even though we were already at Palm Beach State), so I said “Yeah, I’m glad my next class is a college class, so I they won’t really care if I’m late,” and I started heading to the parking lot. I tried to speed walk, but I suddenly forgot how to. When I tried, I just started sprinting, and I really didn’t want to be that person who runs to their classes. I tried to jog slowly, but my feet just kept slapping around in puddles like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, and Nicole, Renee and Mellina started laughing at me. I gave up on trying, and Nicole and I started heading the same way. We walked through a courtyard, and noticed that there were a bunch of adolescent ducklings hanging out in some of the puddles. We went over to see them, and they were with three dogs: a black lab, a yellow lab, and a golden retriever. Nicole pet the golden and said “you’re protecting your nieces, huh?” When she said this, I knew that she was referring to the ducklings, and not the dogs; I also knew that the labs were the ducklings parents. I looked across the courtyard and saw three other golden retrievers walking in a circle in front of a classroom door. I was in a class, and we were supposed to work in groups. Someone I knew (I’m not sure who) came in and started talking to me. She was asking me about who I was working with. I told her “Sidenei (who may have been my ex boyfriend) was supposed to be in the group with me, but he ditched me. So now I’m with three Asian people. I think the teacher thought I was also Asian.”
