Weird college tradition

My dream starts out in a field with a bunch of other people. There are torches placed in circles and around buildings set up throughout the field. We have to walk through the designated path of torches as a way to prove our courage. It’s apparently a college tradition. The dream scene then changes and we are in a gym-like building. A girl there is teaching us to dance for a performance that we will be doing later on. She has a very energetic guy help her teach us. We start off with a waltz and I am wondering why on earth I signed up for this because I’m not a good dancer and don’t really like performing for a crowd. The rest of the dream is a bit foggy, but I remember looking at my college schedule and realizing that my courses are each in a completely different town. I wonder how on earth I’ll ever get to them on time and I show my mom the schedule. Another part of the dream has something to do with a girl living in a shack/lean-to and her boyfriend. This part of the dream is from the boyfriends perspective. The girls dad is mad about something.
