David Denying Death

Renee and I are at the Gutierrez’s house. All of us are in the pool. They have a giant concrete statue in their pool, which starts to fall down towards Renee. I push it out of the way as best as I can, but It lands on Renee’s abdomen and cuts her in half. Still in shock and feeling horrible, I go to her dad to tell him what happened. He wasn’t phased at all and begins to joke about it. I think to myself how it’s inappropriate to joke about his dead daughter.
