There was a military ceremony to be held at a training grounds in the US. Maggie and I were there as observers supporting a few of our friends. The graduates were fooling around at first, climbing the building (white and traditional; southern American style), running around, and it delayed the ceremony about half an hour. Finally, they were about to settle down and the ceremony was to begin. A few minutes into the ceremony, a single shot rang out across the field. You could feel the sensation of hearts dropping and gasps across the event. People ran in every direction, and a few of the graduates climbed up the white administrative building to seek cover. A minute or so passed as people sought to collect themselves and process what happened, when shots rang out again, this time at first slow, but then a steady “pop pop pop” across the grounds. I looked up and from my vantage point could see the graduates that climbed the building, in their white military attire, being shot at by a man swinging from one of the hangings at the roof of the entrance (at similar height to the kids but). He slowly picked the kids off one by one as they were too afraid to escape back down to the other side of building, where shots were now seemingly coming every which direction and complete chaos has enveloped. I looked down toward the entrance of the building and a lady was rushed by a man in a bird mask and hatchet “chunk!” right through her skull, a grisly murder. I grabbed Maggie and we ran leftwards to the fields. I looked at maggie as we ran, confident in our steps but aware of the danger around us, and asked her one thing: “Asians?” She was too stunned to response, or perhaps just didn’t want to waste her breathe on the obvious answer: a single battle of The quickly approaching race war was happening before our very feet and eyes. We dropped down behind a fence in the fields, but I had an unquestionable feeling that we were being followed, and I glanced back suddenly, and looked eye to eye a young, perhaps 16 or so young girl 👱♀️ who we had seen around the academy previously. She had a small throwing axe in her left hand and presumably had more carried in her backpack. I grabbed Maggie once more and we ran as fast as we could, but the girl, although a bit chubby, had lots of youthful energy and adrenaline and was able to keep up with us. At this point, we were far away from the action and the fields were still, a foreboding and intimate quiet that set the scene for this close encounter. I told maggie we had to split up, and the girl went straight for Maggie. The girl was going for Maggie it seemed, so I broke off from our path and stood off to the side and between the two of them, and told maggie to run!!! The girl now was throwing aces at maggie, so I told her to duck and she was doing quite well but losing ground. My motive now was not to hurt the girl but to keep Maggie safe and restrain her safely. The girl was running out of axes but Maggie was slowing down as well so I told her to log out and I’d handle things with the girl. There was some trouble at first as the girl kept throwing axes but eventually Maggie was able to log out. The dream ends there
