The mage Tower

I remember seeing this mage tower in the background, it was huge, kind of looked like a castle or something from harry potter and it was gothic, it was black from far away like a silhouette. It had bridges, big structure things that came out of it and connected to the ground , huge spires and one huge one that went well high up. It was very dark and misty, greyish blue mist, i was in the Arctic because there were high mountains around me and it was in the snow, very snowy but very misty, you could see the silhouette of the tower, which i definitely knew it was a mage tower. Skip scene. I was somehow inside, The walls were dark wood and stone, had a red carpet with outer and inner lines in gold coloured. I was in a hallway but it was messy because these magic users must of blown something up because everything was everywhere and when i turned around to see what was behind me, you could see outside, it was like some giant ripped part of the castle out and you could see the stone work on the outside and things sticking out. And you could see other parts of the building and also the mist. Looks very gothic indeed. I noticed i had a companion with me, i think it was an owl or some type of bird. I walked a bit on, i looked in some rooms, they were dark but you could see enough, nobody was there, i moved on and came to a wooden staircase. I climbed the stairs and to my surprise there were dorm rooms but locked, so i past on, the surrounding were tidy and the red carpet were there and some shelves around with books in them. The walls were wooden and so were the doors, it was dark brown oak wood i believe. I past on and to my surprise, there were people, kids about my age maybe younger, sat around big long tables feasting on any food that was on the table. A boy came up to me and said "come join us". So i had a look at the food, chicken, puddings, potatoes, some crazy dish but then i woke up. I thought i was trespassing but when that little boy told me to join, i think i was one of them, it was a mage school because 1. It looked like it and 2. Mages in fantasy games like blowing up their castle. 3 i had an owl or changed into an owl and had cool abilities like being able to jump high, i remember having a small leather pouch and in a robe with a hood. And i wore the hood. I don't remember the name of myself or the place i was at. I went back to sleep and then i dreamed of something very similar, same background-misty mountains, in the snow and very misty but i was at an exit/entrance of a passage and i think i had fellow warriors with me with swords and shields. Then i woke up again. Im a huge mythology, fantasy fan, but I've not come across anything like this before and I'm definitely sure i was in a mage tower due to the fact i was wearing mage robes with a leather bag and had strange powers.
