It's race day and I'm running. All it is is 3 miles and 70 competitors. Ready. Set. Go! All the runners bolt off the starting line while I'm stuck in that sluggish dream-run speed. Everyone it really fast. I mean REALLY fast. First place finishes with a 2:50 and I'm stuck in last. There's a middle school girl in front of me and my goal is to just not be last. 4 minutes have gone by and it's just me and her. I get into an even slower dream-run speed while she gets even faster. Finally, I finish my race at 5:00 minutes in 70th place. The girl in front of me? 4:20 in 69th place. I'm not mad that I was last place. I'm mad I didn't get her numbers.
