I was sleeping and I got a call from my friend Tawny saying she was in a car accident and she was at the hospital right now. L eft the apartment near campus we both lived in and went down to the hospital to see her. She was badly bruised but other than that she wasn’t hurt. Two other cars were involved in the accident and no one was clear who caused it, but Tawny was the main suspect because the other two cars were families and Tawny was a single woman driving at night. She said the police came yelled at her and blamed her for everything and she was going to be charged with murder because one person died in the crash. I asked her to tell me what happened the best she could remember and she said she was driving along the road back to the apartment and she heard a loud noise and people screaming, before she could fully react her car was upside down and spinning along with two other cars. I listened and it didn’t sound like she caused the accident but drove into as it was occurring. Apparently I was also telepathic in this dream so as she told her story I put my hand on hers and searched her memory of the accident. I saw her driving down a dark road and then heard a loud popping sound before screaming. She tried to gain control of her car but there were two other cars currently spinning out and she could break fast enough to avoid the collision. When her car collided with the two other cars I saw a young teenage boy be ejected from a blue van and crushed under the other car. I took my hand off Tawny after witnessing the gruesome seen she had already forgotten of blocked out of trauma and I told her not to worry and this was not her fault and the police were not going to blame her for it. The next day as Tawny was being discharged we found out a little girl who was involved in the accident had died in the ICU early in the morning. We left the hospital and went back to our apartment where most of the people at our college lived. Tawny and I both lived on the 4th floor and when we got up there we saw another one of our friends Heidi. She asked if we were okay and we said we were fine and not to worry about what’s happening right now. We decided to sit down in the common dining room and have breakfast. As we were looking at the cream cheese options a guy came up to Tawny who was none other than Ansel Elgort as asked if she was alright. She said she was fine and pointed to me saying I brought her home from the hospital. I took my sunglasses off and said hi. He smiled and said hi back shaking his hand and introducing himself. I did the same and he said you’re really cute, I’ve had you in a class before. And I took a step towards him saying well don’t say that because if you think I’m cute I might start thinking you’re kinda cute and we’ll just end up flirting and eventually start dating, do you really want that to happen? I asked him and he replied yea I think I do. I smiled and said okay before turning away and going to a table with my friends. As we were eating our bagels and talking the Detective from last night at the hospital came up to our table and started talking very loudly about how Tawny was under suspicion of murder and he believed she was the cause of two kids deaths and how does it feel to kill someone. I interrupted saying are you always an asshole or you turning it up to humiliate and accuse her? He told me to be quiet and I said no I’m not going to be quiet you can’t just come in here and berate and accuse someone with no evidence, I haven’t heard you read her any rights. The people in the room clapped when I said this. He said he knows that she did it and everyone else should know. I said look I’m not some random person going off on you, I’m in the same field of study I’m not stupid. You can not come in her and slander her name when you have no evidence or reasonable suspicion other than anger management issues and a gut feeling. You of all people should know she is innocent until PROVEN guilty! I then took an irritated bite of my bagel. The Detective left after the roar of applause and I woke up.
