The Turtle

I was walking with a woman in her house to a back room. She spoke of exotic animals and the specialty meat she had in her freezer. We arrived to a refrigerator and she opened it, naming off alligator, elk, ostrich, and rhino meat. She moved some of the meat and behind was a sea turtle, still alive. I immediately felt repulsed. It moved, gasped for air. It was starving and freezing but she said it wouldn't die. I looked away and started crying and anger followed inside me. I shouted "how could you do this?". I woke up crying.
