Back in time

Some guy was sent a few days back in time to keep their life from falling apart. This included not accidentally throwing a sabotaged cup of gasoline on a fire. Eventually they ended up in a desert with some fairies doing shit and trying not to die or kill each other. Not all of it really makes that much sense anymore.
