Dream: Japan or Bust!

I was a London girl named Brigitte who got a chance to study abroad in Japan. To stay for the full chance (3-4 years) I had to first pass the trial period (2 months) and at the end of that period I basically had to pass an extensive exam. I was going there to learn about being a manga and anime artist, learn the myths and legends, learn about the culture, and some other gen ed stuff like math, kanji, language, and so on. So in the dream I was in week one of the trial period. I was at the library and using one of their computers to type up an essay. It wasn't the easiest to get one because I could write and read the kanji better than I could speak the language. So anyways, I'm typing up my essay and the guy next to me looks over at what I'm doing. He says something in Japanese and I just kinda do that typical confused head tilt before saying awkwardly... "Sumimasen...uh nani?" (Translated basically to "Sorry uh what?") The guy just laughs at me. He then, in very fluent enlish, says, "Don't understand the language well yet?" I felt heat rush to my cheeks instantly. It was kinda embarrassing. "Not really. I can read and write it fine but speaking it and understanding what people are saying... I only know a few words and phrases." He just laughs more but gives a sympathetic smile. "What I was trying to tell you was that you didn't have to stress so hard on that mythology essay. Also, I'm Kai." I grin weakly at that. "Thanks. I'm Brigitte. I think I'm just stressing cuz I wanna make it past my trial period. I've wanted to see Japan and be amongst the history and culture for so long... I don't want to lose this opportunity to my horrid grades." Kai just shook his head, "From what I can see you've kept up pretty well. If you need a language tutor though, I'd be happy to help." I couldn't help but beam at that, "Really? You wouldn't mind?" "Nah. You just gotta double down on the other classes so my work isn't in vain." He teased. We basically made that deal and swapped messenger info so we could keep in contact between classes. Then I woke up.
