A War of Destruction

A dream that was full of atrocity. I could see debris flying around and people hiding behind what looked like giant statues. It was a short dream - something like a worldwide event as I kept seeing different places, unrecognisable due to destruction. Everything was black and white. At first I thought it was a giant chess board as the battles enraged and strategies changed. The strategies were of a defensive natured but were always unsuccessful.
