When on holiday in Thailand, my ex and I were on a nature reserve for damaged dolphins. We were playing with them and when it came time to return to Thailand we found a dolphin being brought into port which we recognised from Sri Lanka but had lost both pectoral flippers. I told the boat that was taking us back that it should stay here as a refugee but when we offloaded it I realised it would have a different dialect to the native dolphins and couldn’t communicate :( another boat chased us to try and get us to take it back but the drivers were stubborn, when I looked over the chasing boat was a full 90 degrees up from the water chasing or something. Eventually our boat and the boat chasing stopped & we talked about how dangerous that chase was bc it could have capsized so easily. We swapped the dolphin over and made our way back to Sri Lanka.
