Crossing the ocean in a canoe and hearing whales sing

I’m with a group of people and we’re getting ready to cross the Atlantic Ocean, eastbound, by canoe. I have my own and I’m quite excited and frightened at the idea of rowing and paddling my way to the other coast. I project myself out on the ocean in the dark night and clearly hear the sound of whales underneath me, like they were there for real!!!!!!
