Not even safe in my dreams

I was hanging out with an old course mate. She wanted to play this Rick and Morty-boardgame. I played with her even though I never watched the show, but it she was so excited and I wanted her to be happy. While setting the game up I joked with a guy who was also there that the reason I never watched it was that I ”don’t have a good enough grasp on theoretical physics to understand it”. They guy did not seem to know that I was joking and started telling me that I really should watch it any way. I said I didnt like the animation style, and tried changing the subject but he just kept nagging me, demanding to know wich episode I had seen ”because they change it sometimes you know. Maybe you should start with episode nr...”. Not even my dreams are safe from obsessed fanboys, dear lord.
