Emails from the dead

I am in a shared office, like when I was a grad student. I am working on a computer, developing a model. I get an email from my father every day, even though he’s dead. He still tries to keep in touch. I get a phone call from my father. He’s at a hotel at the airport. The call is cut short when they realize he’s a ghost. Ghosts aren’t allowed to use the phone. In the office, my computer has a virus that is very hard to get rid of. I waste a lot of time. My colleagues in the adjacent room have already developed a working model. I should talk to them instead of making my own. There is a display of a carved wooden tree talking on the phone. I explain my situation with my father and start crying. I apologize. I’m sorting through a box. It’s mostly Lego technic bricks that belong in a different box. I also find coloured rocks that seem to glow in their own and under a black light. I find a pin commemorating 9/11.
