I'm in the front row of a big event. I have the row to my self. lots of people. Feels like a big top or circus ? A music show? Even a school play or talent show (though event is Huge) Feels American somehow. Someone I recognise as Tom Jones comes and sits next to me. He is wearing tight fitting beige trousers (flares?) and a shirt with top buttons open. A bit 70s feel to his clothes. He looks a bit squeezed in to them. He leans back in his seat and rests both legs on my thighs. I push them off impatiently. He asks if I know who he is. I say Iknow who you are, as If I couldn't care less. I turn to him and ask " can I sit on. your lap! ". I my surprise he acts like he is A bit surprised but getting ready for me to actually sit on his lap. This makes me realise he didn't know he was being intrusive and is actually a simple and accomodating guy. I go from thinking he's an ass to thinking he's a nice guy. I explain I don't want to sit on his lap, I was just trying to illustrate how being too familiar can upset other people. M is here in the back row. She'd love to see Tom and Somehow it seems they know each other. But the place is too big for her to get through crowds easily to join us at front. He mentions he'd like to see M, but gets up to leave. I stand to let him out of the row. As he is going to the exit I can hear M calling for him from the back row. He doesn't hear and keeps walking out the exit.
