The Yard

I am at the chapel Sunday morning for choir practice. Monte is leading it. CDR C mentions he was an exchange student in Australia for music. I am trying to remember my class schedule and not miss my Fri 3rd period again because my teacher was mad. Stephen Colbert is on the Yard doing a serious talk 3rd and 4th period in Mahan. There is a mandatory formation around Chauvenet and Michaelson which have grassy and stone terrace areas big enough for the brigade but not evertone has a view of the speaker. It's almost time for noon meal formation. i see the hillside by the chapel being cleared of trees by a powerful wrecking pole. Someone is telling me about how a football player got seriously injured going up against forces liken that. I'm following around the injured football player now because someone is shooting a TV show about him. A blonde female host is interviewing him outside Sampson. He is sharpening or sanding his copper and wood prosthetic knee and it comes off. The host is amazed and it's the first time it's happened for him but he fits it back on. He looks a lot like Brian B sometimes a bit heavier. He is giving his family a walking tour of the yard including all the stairs of Sampson tower. A professor is researching how to keep Sampson tower warm in the winter and I cam see people replying to his post asking for suggestions as if the posters are there talking as the professor tries putting honey in a petri dish. One failed attempt a post-er says was a load of cabbages at the base of the tower "and it wasn't even red cabbages." The one telling the story is a black LT. He says the morning after the cabbages arrived he had to sell them. He decides to sell them all, 3 boxes to a girl for $1. He helps her carry them, and they are now boxes of oranges.
