Blane and I are standing at the counter in my dad’s kitchen. I look out the sliding glass door to find Nana walking near with the pool with her walker. I’m surprised, but somehow, not nervous by this sight. She walks back inside and up to Aunt Nancy, who is standing on the other side of the counter from us. Nana brushes her fingers through her own hair and pulls some loose strands of hair out. She doesn’t know what do with them, so she reaches over and drops them in the sink. Aunt Nancy rinses them away just as my dad walks into the kitchen. I know he’d be weird about hair going down the drain, so I’m glad she acted quickly. I’m in a house, supposedly the Somero’s, and I walk up to a sink. I look down to see a soap dish made to look like a seashell. I find it to be really tacky looking because it doesn’t remotely look like a real shell, but Blane claims that it’s a real shell that Candi found. (In real life, he told me that she has a rock that’s shaped like a soap dish).
