My Career as a Jerk

Its been nearly 24 hours since my dream so I don't remember too much. I know I was playing music with some people - unfortunately don't recall who - and feeling rather inadequate. I went to a music store to find a new instrument. The first thing the salesman showed me was like a half-sized harmonica with a pitch-shifting slide that made it sound like a slide whistle. It made a sound exactly like my phones message alert so I asked him not to do it again. The second instrument had the top half of a wooden recorder and the bottom half looked like a tin flute. I got very excited about this second instrument. Evidently I was some kind of virtuoso on this thing. Then I started feeling self conscious fearing the other people I had been playing music with would think my new instrument was "not cool."
