Defend or capture

So basically, the dream was real life age of empires. Our army was a smaller one with lesser resources than the enemy's but we had the option to decide whether we want to defend a wonder or capture. All my roommates and friends were in our army. We argued a lot but eventually decided to try and capture it. We won with a two pronged approach. A full on frontal attack drew all the wrath of the massive enemy army while a smaller bunch of sneaky soldiers went around the other side and captured the wonder eventually.
