Friend died, different universe

Uhh I didn't have a nice dream, someone even died in it and I cried so much that it woke me up a bit because I was also crying irl...disappointed_relieved All I remember is that I was in the mountains with a male friend, it was cold since we wore heavy layers. He was badly injured physically. We were about to join our friend on the other side of a portal, but suddenly they told us not to, because there were wolves coming nearby. On their side it was snowing. So, I decided to leave him there and flew somewhere to get help. However, he died. I don't know how, why we didn't get help, or what happened. It just jumped to that period. It's a bit blurry, but I remember going where he used to live and there was someone else. It was empty, and I guess it was after the mourning but it still felt painful.
