Cajun Spice

Me and my mom were on our way to my grandpas house, but I wanted to stop by my old job (gas station) and grab some snacks. I walk into the store and see my old boss (I’ll call him CB) CB asked how I was doing and we talk for a little bit. He asked how I’m doing at my current job and I tell him that I’m not getting enough hours. CB asked if I wanted to come back to work for him and I told him we’ll see, and that if I do go back, I’m staying over by the gas station side and not the sandwich side, because there’s a sandwich place inside the store that I used to work at. I walk away and then grab some cajun boiled peanuts and a couple of snacks and drinks. I go to wait in line which was all the way in the back near the coolers. I told my mom to come in the store so I could use her card to by the snacks. Finally, I check out and go outside. CB didn’t give me a bag to put all ny drinks and snacks in, so I had to figure out a way to carry it with my hands. CB thought the cup of boiled peanuts was a drink and he put a straw in it. I took a sip and it was all peanut cajun juice, so I started crying and choking. My mom was laughing at me.
