Softball

I was sitting in the stands with other folks waiting for an opportunity to get in the game. Being too polite, I let everyone else go first at the plate. When I finally got a turn, I was about to smack the ball out of the universe when I woke up. (I haven't played softball in decades, and it has been a while since I watched a game.)
