There was this huge plot of land in the city. It had been made into a park but only because nothing could be done with it. It was a pocket where it was intense power and anti power there. No magic worked, but also no technology. Only certain magic, stuff worked into the land, was there. It was a labyrinth under a hill. And it was my home, in the hill was ruins old as everything and it was dark and perfect. Like an old comfortable house, in the darkest of wood. But it kept being invaded. I was being hunted by police, a certain man in particular. He was trying to catch me, put me in jail. I think it wasn't because of any real laws broken but personal. He wanted what I have. The connection to the hill. The labyrinth. Everytime he invaded I gave him the slip. The labyrinth was a twisting winding place full of portals that went other places. Places where I had good friends. I laughed at his and was scared when they invaded but I got away more often then not. And when caught, I still got away. I had friends that would help. I had resources. They didn't often get me out of that hill. In the early part of the dream, before he began to invade much I kept visiting with a friend who kept my betta fish for me. She had dozens in tiny clean glass cups, she sold them. My particular betta loved me so much he wanted to go home with me immediately. He kept jumping into my hands, willing to live with me without me getting him a tank. Without me having a home and a safe space for him. He was loyal. I put him back. I accidentally put him with other bettas - oops not two males to a cup- and had to fish him back out, put him in his own cup. That happened over and over. He did not want to go back to her, live in that cup, on his own. And then he was back to swimming in a puddle of water in my hands, wanting desperately to stay with me. I considered for a second letting him, since water behaved like magic and kept itself in a ball... But no. I was responsible and put him back. He needed to be safe. I couldn't keep him while I was being hunted. That would be cruel.
