Up with an upset stomach at 4 am, trying to fall back asleep and catching just glimpses... Crawling out from a wooden, nestlike place through an open window onto the surface of a stone tower. There’s a gap between the window and the tower of at least a foot, and I’m thinking to myself “I’m going to die doing this one day.” “But despite everything else, at least I get to wake up to this.” I’m standing on the cracked stone flat roof of a tower, miles above a verdant sea of green foliage. In the distance a waterfall rushes off of an even taller cliff. A hazy plume of flying creatures, too far away to see clearly but I think reptilian, seraphic, bubble up into the crystal blue sky overhead. They are a pale warm white, the same color as the sun in this place. There were many more details, I couldn’t capture them all, but I had that giddy euphoric feeling again, the feeling I get when my mind’s eye reveals another world with clarity and precision. It’s elation and a curious kind of relief, like “Oh. It’s okay. There are other worlds, and there is beauty. You’re going to be okay.” And then I woke up. Some time later I was on the second floor of a building I lived in. I went i to the bathroom to prepare for the day. The medicine cabinet had a clear face. It was about a third or half the size of an ordinary medicine cabinet and it was unexpectedly filled with water. No way to open it without spilling water everywhere, apparently it was leaking from inside the wall somewhere? Post it notes telling me to leave it alone, so I did.
