The Amazing (-ly Horrible) Race

Im on a scavenger hunt race that starts in my childhood neighborhood. It’s a lot like the Amazing Race where you have to go all kinds of different places and sometimes you have to do challenges etc. I get to this art gallery right about the same time as two other guys in the race. We’re trying to get to a specific exhibit that is a checkpoint for the next challenge, so the order we get there is super important. They’re trying to sabotage me, but I somehow manage to slip in front of them as we sprint down this hallway and I get there barely in first place. The person guarding the door and letting people in says that there’s a special rule on this leg of the race that says only the person in first place gets to go in, and everyone in second through fifth have to wait and go together. I’m so relieved that I get a head start on the challenge, but now I know you’re hose two guys are really going to have it out for me and I better get far away from them. In dark art gallery museum, there’s a lit table/display case in the center of the room that a bunch of people are gathered around with worksheet booklets and pencils answering questions fast as possible. They’re all from other races like ours. There are all these questions about the things on display that we have to figure out by searching around the room and looking in the cases and researching things on our phones. Im down to my last few blanks to fill in and one says I have to write out a whole verse in the original Hebrew, which is a language I know approximately zero. I’m searching alongside the couple next to me for translation websites but none seem to be working. It’s so hard to concentrate and read, like the words are just swimming around on the page. Others come in, including the two guys, and I’m still working. They’re catching up, and the one guy knows Hebrew so they have no problem with it at all, but I just can’t seem to read. I’m panicking, and the couple next to me has found a YouTube video of someone reading the passage in Hebrew so they’re trying to transcribe it but I can’t even process the words in my brain it’s all just a jumble of sounds and then there’s this shooting pain in my side like I’d been shot sometime earlier and the wound was reopening. I try to ignore it because I just know I can’t let these guys get ahead of me, and I’ve been in here so long and I’ve lost all my lead but the pain is so debilitating that I just kind of collapse on the floor. Everyone rushes over to see if Om okay, including the two guys I’m racing against but I can’t stay awake and I pass out.
