The man in the mist

I was walking over a hilly region of Sweden when I reached a small abandoned village. Vegvísir was carved into the door of the Longhouse. As I looked around, I saw a thick, dark fog start to pour around the area, and the silhouette of a man appeared in the fog. He didn't step forward to meet me, but instead just stood and stared at me. The only feature I could see were his piercing blue eyes. His body structure represented that of an old Viking Berserker - burly, broad-shouldered and muscular, and standing at nearly 7'5". He just watched me silently before cocking his head to the right, then turning away and walking out of the village. The fog disappeared as he left.
