I work for an insurance company in real life. My dream was that the company announced they would be opening fine dining restaurants in select insurance offices and offering automotive services so that people could get their insurance taken care of, get their car fixed and have a nice meal while they wait. Managers emphasized that the sales agents needed to try to cross sell a meal with every insurance sale. On opening day, the plan was so popular that we were fully booked and I was getting overwhelmed because I had never worked as a chef. In the dream, I called my dad and told him I didn’t know how to make any of the dishes and his response was “you’re a man, you’ll figure it out like you always have. I’m proud of you, son.” Then hung up. So another plot twist was that all of the waiters were dogs in tuxedos. Customers would choose what they wanted from the menu and give it to the dogs, which would then come to the kitchen and give the chefs the order slips. The dogs would then haul the food in little carts to the dining area and the cart would raise up to be level with the table. The job could have been done with robots, but the dogs added a uniqueness to the experience. I woke up as I was watching our first customer start to take a bite.
