It's a class trip to the beach. For some reason my little spaniel Harley had come with me. We get there but the tide was high so we had to wade through some of it to get to land. I was carrying Harley so he wouldn't take in water but the waves were over our heads, constantly thrashing us, I took in water, the taste of salt was disgusting. We finally get to a small bit if sand where we could climb onto the promenade. The water soon encompassed that bit and we were on the street surrounded by sea. The teacher starts talking about the area. I look into the water and sea a shadow of three massive fish (like in animal crossing) I point them out and the teacher explains that they are birdfish (called that because they glide along the bottom like birds in the sky). I have the sudden urge to jump in but forgot that I was carrying Harley. We both dive in and I immediately surface in panic trying to hold him up for the others to get him. I finally see he's safe on land but one of the birdfish catches my hair in it's mouth and drags me under.
AI generated interpretation In your dream, bringing your dog to the sea during a class trip symbolizes your desire to protect and care for those close to you while venturing into the unknown or unpredictable aspects of life. The high tide and thrashing waves suggest feelings of being overwhelmed or out of control in a situation. Carrying Harley through the water may represent your sense of responsibility and the need to navigate challenges to keep loved ones safe. The shadow of the three massive fish could symbolize hidden or mysterious aspects of your subconscious mind, particularly related to emotions or instincts. The teacher's explanation of the birdfish being able to glide along the bottom like birds in the sky might suggest a blend of different elements or aspects of your life that you are trying to make sense of. The urge to jump in the water, forgetting about carrying Harley, may indicate a moment of impulsivity or a desire to explore aspects of yourself or your life that you may have neglected in the pursuit of caring for others. The birdfish catching your hair and dragging you under could represent unconscious fears or anxieties that threaten to overwhelm you when you confront these hidden or submerged aspects of yourself. Overall, this dream may be reflecting a conflict between your sense of duty and responsibility towards others, and a deeper urge to explore your own desires, emotions, or hidden aspects of yourself. It could also suggest a fear of losing control or being consumed by overwhelming emotions or situations when you try to balance these different aspects of your life. It may be a cue to find a better balance between caring for others and taking care of your own needs and desires.
