Lycanthropic Mentor

My partner and I were racing down a metal stairwell, dressed in all black. Above us, the pounding steps of our enemies chasing us could be hear. I was supposed to be learning how to be a better agent from the man beside me, yet all he did was scold me. Even as we were fleeing he reprimanded me for small mistakes. When we got to the bottom of the stairwell, he had a minor episode which left him panting on all fours. His canines had enlarged and gotten sharper. Once he caught his breath again, he growled at me to keep running before taking off. We didn't get far before discovering an enemy group. They had made camp in the bare strip between two forests. We were hiding in the underbrush on the edge of one, but needed to get to the other side. In order to accomplish that, my partner came up with the idea to act as a lost civilian couple. I didn't know what to say to that or how to explain why doing that would be awkward, considering the romantic tension that was between us. Even so, I complied and we changed into plain, brown clothes before stepping out. Leaves were in our tousled hair, looks of bewilderment plastered on our faces all to give the appearance of two innocent folk. When we showed ourselves, the guards immediately aimed their rifles at us, but after regarding us warily for a couple of moments, lowered them. They spoke in gruff tones to us, asking things like where we came from and how we got so far off road. I let my partner handle answering them and eventually the guards had believed whatever he said. They ushered us to the other side of the camp, which left me in a corner, trapped between a large tree and a small building the guards had set up. It was perfect. Having no clue what sort of mistake they'd made, they turned their backs to me, not noticing my new stance and wicked grin. They never saw it coming. A surge of bloodlust came over me, for I fought like a devil when in a corner. Within seconds I had downed at least three guards, with my mentor taking on another few. After straightening our clothes, we headed off into the forest.
