The hog show

Family took a vacation to somewhere in Europe? There were cute villages and rolling green fields. We left the airport and rode thru the town and discovered a gathering of people out in a town courtyard with brick patio overlooking a rodeo-type field. We stopped (I think we were riding bikes?) and joined the crowd. There were a ton of white and black hairy hogs running around the rodeo field. An announcer comes out with a person and says they will be joining the hogs as the chosen people do. This person was apparently going to turn into a hog, meaning the other hogs were people once. I can’t remember much else.
