Away from the prying eyes of friend and foe Away from the thrumming of the kingdom Away from the magic of the world You needn’t have been so surprised when I turned against you All those years ago Telling your secrets and burning your bridges And still there was no point in killing me Your only friend left in the world And locking up my heart once more Unless as last revenge But this is a new life And still I am uncovering you Revealing your truths—and mine—all over again
