Nearly drowning in car

Me and dad were driving along a lane of ancient ruins next to a canal, which was very old and rickety. We get to the end and I tell him that to get out we have to go through the archway but he says just backing up along the path will be fine. It's a very narrow and bumpy road and we nearly get back to the beginning but then the car slips and we fall into the water. We go down very deep but manage to slip out of the seat belts and car and swim quickly back up to the surface. We are relieved to be alive but annoyed we lost our phones and car.
