Im getting on a flight. Alone. Its a small plane. Very dark. It almost looks like a bus. I sit in back with the flight attendant. It’s taking forever to take off. I’m starting to get claustrophobic and paranoid. It’s super dark. The scene switches. Mom and I are now boarding a plane for a quick trip day trip to the Bahamas. It’s daylight. All is well. We are boarding and waiting. In an ocean? The water is somewhat rough but not scary. There’s an American Airlines plane being pushed all over beside us. Mom makes it out to be normal. Mom is a plane expert I suppose. But I can feel something isn’t right. Mom and I are the last to get on. The pilot is a black woman. She seems to be having issues with the plane. The front propeller is operating oddly. We’re still sitting in water. Mom is trying to help her fix it. The flight attendant makes nice with us. The people on the plane seem to be growing irritated. One old lady in the front gets mad because I don’t know what time it is in Texas. Then she realizes I don’t work for the airline. Eventually we find out this plane can’t go anywhere and everyone has to take a small charter plane back to the states. Unfortunately it only holds up to 3 at a time. The flight attendant whispers this to us, hinting we can go first. I’m elated to stay in the Bahamas longer. Mom and I are now walking around the island. Looking for fun an food after a little spat about staying longer. A little boy us playing a guitar in a restaurant his family owns. There’s a row of restaurants lined up near the ocean. The sun begins to set as we walk the shoreline. I get my phone out, wanting to post on Snapchat w/ Bahamas filters & real time location to make others think I’m thriving in life & mentally (fuck you Boome). Im not ok but it’s fun to pretend. A dog and a little boy run up to join me in a photo. Mom and I continue to walk near where other guests are staying close to the beach and begin seeing people from our hometown. I soon piece together the little boy is the child of a friend I grew up with. Oh fuck. It’s the Robbins family vacation. I try to avoid them but it’s inevitable. We run into Carol, Kayla, Ed, the entire gang heading out for the night. There’s some weed gummies being sold. 143 dollars for a bag. I laugh and tell them I can get this in LA for 30. Carol jumps at the chance to grab them and hand them out. Sweet. I tell her to only eat a Snell piece. The bag indicates how strong they are. It looks like tons of different types of chewy candies. Some with sugar coating. I take a few to save for later. I’m sneaking these on the plane. Mom takes a nibble as well. The sun has set.
