Creepy Electric Insects

Me and my little sister are behind our home, in the backyard. We see a mound by where we keep our goat so we investigate it. Strange insects are crawling arouns on the ground, making weird noises the whole time. My sister figures that we can scare 'em off with lots of water. We get a bucket a dump it on the mound so all the insects buzz and fly to our open back door. They get inside and I start yelling at my sister how could she be so stupid, how she could forget to close the backdoor. Me and my sister open the backdoor that had somehow closed to find a leopard lying on the floor, being effectively tazed by 4 or 5 of the electric insects. Electricity is arcing, and yellow light is flashing so we hit the bugs with a shoe on the ground. They get pissed so they start coming after us, and we somehow escape them. We both get to the living room and see an insect on our couch, so naturally, we hit it. It starts flying at us but we're keeping it at bay by swinging relentlessly. My parents are sitting on the other couch nearby. My father says that I cannot kill the bug unless it is from dehydration, so I've got to prevent the bugs from drinking water.
