Pathway to another dimension

After 20+ years of dreaming, I’m convinced dreams are the pathway to another dimension. So many of my dreams take place in the same world/same places/same times, just as different people. A while back I dreamt about a police officer who saw an old childhood friend get into a car accident. I forget if I recorded it or not. It wasn’t that serious, just a fender-bender, but it reunited the police officer with her friend, who turned out to have grown up to be a really crappy person. The police officer was driving across a crazy tall narrow bridge when she recognized her friend in the car next to her and started following her. But alongside the bridge was this crazy, old dock that only had one crane, so freighter ships had to loaded by hand using ropes and pulley’s. I remember the police officer thinking that was a crazy job to be a dock worker there and that she wouldn’t want to do it. But of course, in last night’s dream, I was working there, the dream started with me and bunch of other workers holding onto these ropes and navigating this crazy scaffolding situation. Then we started walking out over this big stretch of really dark blue water as a ship was being launched from dry dock partially loaded. There were ropes swinging around everywhere and everything was super busy but eerily quiet. We somehow ended up hanging from this rope stretching horizontally over the water. Everyone was really impressed by the ship when it flipped and crashed into the water, but still floated, even though they were all hanging from this crazy high rope. My arms didn’t get tired, but my hands kept slipping from the rope one at a time and I was getting more and more scared of the height as the rope we were standing on got lower and lower. There was a woman who oversaw the whole docking/loading process and she was really tough and mean, but fair. She had really dark hair and fair skin and moved along the ropes super easily. She kept yelling at us to wake up and focus, but the whole thing was kind of disorienting. Finally the rope slipped from the pulley and dropped us down into the water where I was able to swim to one of the pillions and climb up to catch my breath. The woman cane over to talk to me and tell me I needed to toughen up, if I wanted to keep this job. Then I went and had this really big lunch with my best friend, but I don’t really remember the details that well. When I came back from my lunch break, I climbed up one of the pillions, waiting to catch one of the swinging ropes, while the song Colors of the Wind was playing over and over. I’ve had that song stuck in my head for days, so I’m not surprised. Then I woke up. BRIDGE A bridge in a dream could be symbolic of connection, stability, and progress. Often, when bridges appear it could mean you are encountering a new start, travel, different way of life or a change or transition. A suspension bridge can indicate that you will reach your objectives in time. ROPE/HANGING FROM ROPE Rope indicate a strong connection to something, ties that bind, and having a solid anchor in your life. This can be quite a frightening dream. To see deep water is connected to one's emotions. This can at times represent your mood also. Miller’s dreambook believes that dark water with calm surface promises brilliant opportunities and joy. But you are not destined to find out the reason for this joy until the right moment.
