Conference Presentation

Some man that looked kinda like the main guy from Young and Hungry. I just googled him, his name was Josh in the show. Anyways, I don’t remember it all, but I remember being in a stage that was somewhat raised and I’m in the crowd. Before I got into the fall, which essentially looked like a banquet hall, but was just a reserve space, everyone was really nicely dressed up. I remember walking through the door and when I looked through the door, I saw the stage to the left, “Josh” to my left on the stage with a pot playing behind him and him standing at a podium and a bunch of tables and people sitting in front of him. I immediately knew this was a conference. So, I took a seat, and he saw me and smiled, so I smiled back and continued to listen to him chat about something and introduce the first speaker. The first speaker went up, and he came down the left side of the stage and up to me at the table. He looked at me and asked if I was ready to go, and I said “Uhm, I guess?” Knowing full well that I had not prepared anything at all. So I just waited for him to go up to the stage and give me the signal of when I was to come on stage. He went up while the last person was chatting, signaled to me, I started to get up and then he told me to sit back down so I did. He then started chatting at the front about my field of work and then called me up on stage. That’s when I got up and walked over, he gave me an encouraging smile so I nodded my head at him and went up to the podium. I looked at the ppt and realized it was incorrect - so I started chatting saying how it was an honor to be up there and I was thankful for the privilege to chat up there. I say, “well, I was under the impression I would chat about my data but it seems I’m chatting about something else ahaha”. And people laughed. As I’m chatting, I’m noticing that the mic’s are not working and there’s people in the crowd moving their seats more closer to the stage to hear what I’m saying. Specifically, a man in a blue tailored suit moved all the way to the front. And gives me a puzzled look. I ask the audience if they can hear me better if I just speak louder, and they still all can’t hear me. So I look down and a different ppt has begun and it’s still not my data and I laugh and say “well, it really seems that I’m not chatting about my primary data project ahaha”. Then, I start getting asked questions and when I look to my right, the “Josh” guy from earlier is looking pissed, specifically at me. I give him a puzzled look like “bro, this isn’t my fault, how was I suspend to know that the ppt would just not be correct or that the mic would stop working? Like the fuck?” And I just look away and continue answering questions. Once I finish, I walk off stage and Josh pulls me back by mg elbow being like “wtf was that? What the fuck am in investing in your company for?” And I’m genuinely just like “Excuse me? What the fuck are you going on about” but I don’t say it out loud because I see people looking at us and I smile and grab the wrist holding my elbow and pull him farther away, towards the buffet set to the side of the room and he follows me. I genuinely look at him and say “what the fuck?” And then I woke up.
