MILD Lucid Dreaming Technique

So I found this on Reddit: A fantastic method for first time LDers is mnemonic induced lucid dreams(MILD). When you go to bed, lay down, shut all your lights off(just your usual sleeping routine) clear your mind off the day, the stress, the worrying, everything. You need to completely clear your mind! Then, focus on a certain dreamscape! I use my bedroom, so close your eyes, focus deeply on your bedroom. Start to make a mental depiction! Once you've got a good idea of your room(with eyes closed trying to go to bed) Start repeating a mantra, whatever works best for you! I say I'm going to wake up in my bedroom, and realize I'm dreaming! This is how I got my first lucid dream!! The first night I tried(very successful method for me!) You want to repeat that saying over and over as your drift to sleep! You also need to get in a very good habit of doing reality checks! Do one when you're in your room, before bed, RIGHT when you wake up, and when you're just chilling. Because if you get in a good habit of doing this, it'll carry over to the dream world, and it's a free ticket to lucidity! So a quick summary: 1.) Reality checks; as many as you can do throughout the day! There's several of ways to do it, such as the following: Stick your finger through your hand, examine hands(in dreams they're very distorted, so bad it'll immediately tip you off that you're dreaming) try to breath through nose while plugged! Just anything that you can't do in real life. 2.) Forgot to mention but a dream journal! Write every single dream down, it'll help with recall! Which is absolutely imperative if you want to lucid dream. 3.) Clear your mind before bed, and follow what I said in the paragraph above! Mental depiction of room, and montra! You, sir, if strictly practiced, will lucid dream tonight! Also, be sure to be very confident in your ability! Once in a lucid dream, here's a few tips! 1.) STAY CALM. If you get too excited, you'll wake up. So you must keep your cool, and stay collected! 2.) Be confident if your ability, ZERO doubt. If you're confident, the sky's the limit. You can do ANYTHING. Fly, create mass structures before you eyes, anything you can imagine. 3.) GROUD YOURSELF. You want to focus on the little things! Detail, texture, smell, all your senses. If you want to greatly increase the vividness of your dream, rub your hands together. Focus on the texture of your hand. Your dream will be come unbelievably vivid! 4.) One last little secret tip! If you want to stay in your dream world for a while, create something(a ring, suit, anything) and say to yourself, as long as I have this on, I will remain in my dream. Remember, CONFIDENCE! Zero doubt in yourself, or it won't work! This works all the time for me, and I've helped someone have the most vivid lucid dream, and most memorable one they've had! It works, just remember confidence! If anyone needs help, feel free to message me, I'll reply to every one, and I'll help to the best of my ability! Lucid dreaming is truly amazing, and I feel as if EVERYONE should be able to enjoy it! Happy lucid dreaming, guys! :)
