Leaving the country

I was in what looked like a small general store. There were miscellaneous things you could buy like writing utensils and I saw a small line of people at a counter. That’s when I realized I was at the border of a foreign country, the things in the store were like the last items you could buy before crossing over into the other country. I wasn’t planning on going to the other country, I was just looking for food. At some point I ran into someone I knew and I joked that a girl (who was my significant other) and I were looking for each other in that building and it took a really long time to find one another and we were getting extremely annoyed, but when we finally found one another we weren’t mad anymore we just thought it was funny.
