My birthday

Date: 2/29/2020

I’m in my bedroom having morning sex with my husband. We finish and then as we lay there for a moment of relaxation. The door burst in and my family fills the room singing happy birthday! With my mom front and center holding a bouquet of balloons. I cover up under the covers and quickly think, where is the condom wrapper, the condom, etc! Ahhhh my family is in here including my brothers . My mom sees it first, steps on the wrapper so no one else sees, I motion to the nightstand where their is more and she quickly pushed it into the drawer! Whew saved! My mom and I share an inside laugh with our eyes. She sits by me and shows me my balloon. It has my face on it made to look like a Disney princess! And it says we always knew you were a princess. Happy birthday. HA I loved it! Then she gave me a set of small cards where it appears every member of my family wrote me a message for my birthday!!! I was like how did you orchestrate this! How did you get them all to do it? How?! My mom said ‘I wasn’t expecting it either, I asked them all to do it, left the cards at a central locations then picked them up weeks later and was shocked myself.’ I started to read the heartfelt individualized messages from all these members of my family and was so happy! My aunts , uncles, cousins, it seemed everyone had wrote something. A few of them indicated as though they will miss me as if i was moving away. I remember one in particular from my best cousin Katie saying ‘I think i will enjoy living far apart for a while. bittersweet. we all need to see as much as possible! I’ll be visiting often so now i get to see more because of you!’ She and i share the love of travel! First it hurt my feelings that she would say she liked the idea of living far from each other but i guess it makes since. Apparently i was moving out of the state and when she would visit she would be able to have a place to stay for free to explore the new city. Everyone was out of the room by then and I can hear the party starting without me! Quickly I dress and go outside and their is so much fun to be had! Apparently my mom hired a sort of magician/scavenger hunt if you will. This person comes to parties and sits the group down and tells the beginning of a story. Then he does a magic trick and teaches you how to do it. You have to ask or find the right clues and perform the trick in order to proceed. Then he does another trick tells more of the story and again you have to perform the trick and ask or find the right clues to proceed and so on until you reach the end! Well by the time I got out there people were moving to trick 3 ahhhh I needed to catch up! My mom sees I finally am outside and comes back to enjoy it with me. We laugh about how some people wrote happy 25th bday on those cards as a joke and then others read it and believed it so I had way too many cards where people thought I was turning 25 hahahhaha I am really turning 35! I get a moment alone with the magician to perform my trick and then it hits me!!!! I tell him ‘you do realize this is all just a dream, my dream.’ He says and ‘how do you know?’ I said ‘because my phone periodically sends me reality checks asking are you dreaming.’ I pick up my phone and said ‘this hasn’t happened all day. But I don’t care! You see my mom passed away and yet she is here! This is the best party in the world because I get to spend more time with her and feel her warmth. I don’t want to wake up! I don’t care if it is a dream.’ He said ‘well then let’s just scoot you past, you don’t have to do the trick, I know you can do it anyway, so that you can catch up with the group.’ YES! Thank you. He said ‘can I get you anything?’ I said ‘I am starving oddly enough.’ He got me a huge piece of bread and said here eat this it will fill you up for a bit. Bread i thought.....the girls diet enemy number one!!! But it’s a dream! I devoured this delicious buttery bread! Then leap off to my mom gave her the biggest hug and said ‘this is the best parry ever. I don’t know how you did it, but I love it all so much!’She said ‘anything for you baby girl, just wait till you see everything I planned.’ Then CRAP I woke up. NOOOOOOOO So I am gonna be 35 in June! Lol long time away for a party and my mom passed away 6 years ago. She was my best friend and my everything we really had a unique relationship and told each other everything. Most would be mortified that a mom sees the condom wrapper and I was like oh no mom get it before my brothers see Hahahhahah it was a great dream but too short! I miss her too much!
