Escaping the Sea

-I remember playing a video game, similar to Hogwarts Mystery. I decide to play as a male character the first time around. However, I find it uncomfortable playing as a male, so I restart the game and play as a female. In both versions, my characters are in an office building and we have conflict with another character of our gender -I go back to school (this will probably be the first of many of this type of dream because it’s now summer vacation) as a junior. I sit in the gym bleachers with Naomi and Lauren. We are all wearing red, and we talk about how excited we are for our new classes. I get lost trying to find a classroom. I also can’t pronounce a teacher’s name. The school building highly resembles my middle school -I’m Rho Grace from Zodiac (an underrated book series which I highly recommend if you like sci-fi with fantasy elements). The Zodiac systems are all under the sea. Zodiac people are amphibious. I really want to travel to the surface, where normal people live, since I’ve only been once, but I can’t. I find out that the reason why Zodiac people are kept underwater is highly suspicious and controversial, but the government is keeping it a secret. I end up traveling to the surface, despite laws saying I can’t. I drive in an Uber or something once on land, the driver being my real life mother. The surface looks almost the same as now, but it’s got a dystopian feel to it. I go to a DJ/producer’s house and office complex. I’m friends with him, and he hides me there, since I’m a wanted woman. I hide in his office. A festival starts in the complex, which is a community living complex. Costumed characters come around to every room. I hide in the office, praying they don’t come in, but they do anyway. One of the characters, a guy, I scare by singing in Ophiuchan and acting like a crazy person. Another one, a woman dressed in a costume that resembles Tiana from Princess and the Frog, I manage to drive off by pretending I’m a robot. -eventually, the authorities come looking for me and I freak out because nowhere is safe and I’d get hurt by the authorities. This is where the dream turns into a nightmare. It’s terrifying. Eventually, they find me, along with my real life family. We go out onto the lawn. It’s sunset. It is revealed that my absence has caused my Great Pyrenees to get extremely sick. He is really skinny, shaved, and part of his snout got cut off. I feel awful for causing such bad things to happen to him. Despite not being in danger of being discovered, the dream is still a nightmare because of my poor dog. Notes -After analyzing the dream symbols of the underwater city and my dog, I think the dream means that I’m trying to break away from society and be different, and I’m losing friends
