Surviving a tsunami

My mother and my father and I were staying in a generic hotel room. I was laying in bed, when my dad came over and asked whether I wanted to go on an amusement park ride with my aunt and my cousin. It was already night-time so I thought it was kind of late, but I left the hotel room anyway and went on my way to meet them. I was walking along a dock, the kind made of wooden planks and beams. I was still a good ways from land when suddenly, a sizable black fish, about 1.5 feet long, jumped out of the water, just barely grazing the opposite side of the dock from where it started its jump. I stopped to stare after the now-gone fish, when a few more of the same fish began jumping as well. A great rumbling noise began and soon after, the water started rising up into a massive wall. The dock was rapidly disentegrating into sections, but they didn't seem to be breaking up further, so I grabbed hold of one. Strangely, the dock section I was holding tipped vertically, so that I was carried above the wave. I was able to watch as the tsunami crashed into the coastline. *Dream skips* I was now at a convention center of some kind. My mom was there, and I had somehow managed to cling on to my phone, so I used that to call him. I asked whether my laptop could be found. I could see a single skyscraper, tilted askew, with jagged holes in its glass sides. It was a skyscraper from the Atlanta skyline.
