We were at Nancy's house for a party. (Dream house, not the real one.) I had taken Paisley to the upstairs bathroom to have her go potty (or to get her a diaper, whichever she would cooperate with.) In the bathroom, there were open bags of garbage on the floor, and one of them started moving. I then saw that it was being pulled across the floor by a rather large rat. The rat tried to help by bringing me a new diaper, but I was afraid it would bite Paisley and went to shoo it away with gentle kicks (so as not to hurt it,) but had my flip flops on, and didn't want to get my foot bitten, so we rushed back downstairs. We ran out of the house, and were with Charlie's grandma at a restaurant where we discussed artisan gummy candies. (When she was younger, she had been a chef, and there were designer gummies in display cases all over the place.) Belinda Carlisle came on the radio and Charlie not only didn't know who it was, but didn't know what era the song was from. I was sad because I've always loved Belinda Carlisle, and it became clear that he didn't care at all about the things that were important to me. Then my heart softened, my stress diminished, and I was grateful for him. Then I woke up.
